The narrative is fascinating reading, and deals with the many aspects of censorship during this period .The making of low budget movies for which Stanley Long was well known is discussed at length, and apart from making compelling reading for the non-initiated it is essential reading for the student of film .It is illustrated with many production photographs from the period as well as previously unpublished pictures of the stars who appeared in the movies.
