Fayrstede Director Stanley Long The proprietor of Fayrstede Productions has spent over forty five years in the movie business starting with over twenty four documentary films made for the Ministry of Defence and others, he has been involved in over thirty feature movies,as cinematographer,editor, director and producer ,working with some of the greatest names in the business such as, Boris Karloff,Peter Cushing, Roman Polanski, David Bailey, Sir John Mills, Jack Cardiff ,plus many great comedy names of the sixties and seventies.

In 1963 Stanley Long was responsible for making the first English 360 degree cinema film Circlorama Cavalcade. Which played to packed houses in the purpose built cinema in Piccadilly Circus. Later, in conjunction with Alan Lavender of PAG Ltd, organised and moved a portable Circlorama theatre to Blackpool for a season and then on to the Kelvin Hall Glasgow for the Christmas season. In 1975- 6 he produced and directed all the highly successful ‘Adventure Series’ comedy films (aired many times on television). In 1975 he started film distribution company, ALPHA, which became the largest independent in England. Alpha was sold to INTERVISION PLC in1982. Long then started the editing equipment hire company SALON LTD servicing many major feature films ,including ‘Saving Private Ryan’,the ‘Bond’movies, the ‘Harry Potter’ movies and ‘Batman Returns’The interest in SALON was sold in 2005 and Long returned to movies.
